Parkway golf center has also designed and built all their own bay covers.
In the beginning when we were planning and developing our driving range
we understood the need to try to please as many customers needs as possible.
One of those needs was the need for protection from rain and shade from the sun.
The biggest issue with this was the fact we didn't want the traditional wood with
shingles or tin roof. These style structures are often very expensive both upfront
and in maintenance costs. These structures are also heavy requiring a certain post
design usually a four corner system which as many of you know doesn't work very
well with golf mats and things needing to be near one edge. So we designed a
system that is aesthetically pleasing and has great strength even with a cantilever
post design eliminating the hassle of trying to place mats and equipment around posts.
We also found through trial and error that the system is so much better as a
modular system. Our design works great as either a 20' x 20' or a 20' x 24' footprint.
These systems can be placed together to be as long as needed.
Both sizes are made the same exact way with the same exact quality control.
They both start with one of three footing designs. Half concrete slab with 24" diameter
footings under each post. Full slab with 24" diameter footings under each post. Or a
standalone 24" footing under each post with no slab. All of these then get 4 6"x6" thick wall posts secured to the footing with 4 bolts with a 40000lb rating. Then the structure is built using all thick wall square tube steel hand welded. The structure is then covered with an exclusively sourced woven fabric material that is 14mm thick. This material is woven like cloth but is still translucent to let the light through. Since it is woven even if it is cut it will not rip.
Even though this system was designed specifically for a golf driving range we feel it has many more potential uses. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about purchasing this system for your next big project or even an existing space that needs covered. (All patents pending)
